The Way of Wisdom: Love Correction, Love Growth
Day 12 — 31 Days in Proverbs — The Way of Wisdom
Correction Is Direction
Proverbs 12 begins with a line that does not soften its edge:
“Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.” — Proverbs 12:1
Solomon uses strong language because growth matters.
Wisdom loves correction because wisdom loves becoming better.
Correction is not rejection. It is redirection. It is someone caring enough to help you see what you cannot see on your own.
Left unchecked, blind spots become patterns. And patterns shape destiny.
Humility Builds Strength
Pride resists feedback. Humility receives it.
Immaturity protects the ego. Wisdom protects growth.
If you want to grow in leadership, in marriage, in parenting, in ministry, you must decide that becoming better matters more than being right.
Growth requires discomfort. It requires the willingness to hear something that challenges your perspective.
But correction, when embraced, produces clarity. And clarity produces progress.
Choose Growth
When was the last time you invited someone to speak honestly into your life?
Not casually. Intentionally.
The wise are not those who never need correction. They are the ones who respond well when it comes.
Humility is not weakness. It is strength under control.
If you love growth, you will learn to love correction.
